Der Kieler Matrosenaufstand jährt sich 2018 zum 100. Mal. Aus diesem Anlass zeigt das Kieler Stadt- und Schifffahrtsmuseum die Sonderausstellung »Die Stunde der Matrosen« und baut für ein knappes Jahr seine gesamt Dauerausstellung um.
Die Sonderausstellung rekonstruiert anhand von ca. 400 Exponaten die Geschehnisse der damaligen Zeit und legt in Form zweier raumgreifender roter Keile im Stil eines Militärschiffs einen besonderen Fokus auf die Kieler Ereignisse zwischen dem 1. und 11. November 1918.

The sailor’s revolt in Kiel marks its 100th anniversary in 2018. On this occasion the City and Naval Museum of Kiel shows the special exhibition »The Hour of the Sailors« and therefore converts its permanent exhibition for almost one year.
The special exhibition reconstructs the events of that time based on approximately 400 exhibits and also puts special focus on the incidents in Kiel between November 1st and 11th 1918 in the form of two extensive red wedges in the style of a military vessel.
